Carla Lee, CPA, CA
Carla is the Founder of CML Professional Accounting and has over 20 years of experience in industry and public practice. Carla uses her background in financial reporting gained from both industry experience and her time with a big four accounting firm in Vancouver to assist organizations with technical accounting issues and accounting projects. Over the past few years Carla has assisted clients in areas such as IFRS conversions, US GAAP reporting, accounting for complex transactions such as derivative financial instruments and other accounting projects such as budgeting and forecasting.
Previously, Carla was a senior executive with a leading container terminal operator in North America. She was the technical accounting "expert" for the organization responsible for the preparation of US GAAP financial statements, effective and efficient operation of key business processes and internal controls environment, placement of insurance, oversight of tax, internal audit and enterprise risk management functions. Prior to this, Carla was with a large publicly-traded chemical company with global operations that is listed on Stock Exchanges in both Canada and the United States. She held a variety of senior finance roles, playing a key part in their Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, systems implementations as well as being responsible for internal and external financial reporting.
Besides helping clients, Carla enjoys spending time traveling and with her family doing water sports.
Tammy Tchir, CPA, CA
Tammy is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of progressive experience focusing on financial reporting, technical accounting issues, project management and process improvement. Tammy has extensive experience in leading and executing the process of public company filings on both Canadian and US exchanges, including preparation of financial statements and analysis. She has been involved in several IFRS implementations, including being project manager for the IFRS implementation of a large mining company. Tammy is adaptable and action oriented and brings vertical and process skills to consulting projects. She is experienced in developing and leading training sessions for client personnel. Her strong computer knowledge and ability to learn new systems quickly makes her an asset in assisting companies with various accounting projects.
